Lynn Hughes

Lynn Hughes is an abstract painter based in the San Francisco Bay Area. During her two decades as a professional artist, her work has been featured in prominent corporate spaces, high-end restaurants, galleries and art cafes. She has had several solo exhibitions over the years including an exclusive event in which she partnered with Mercedes-Benz of California. In 2013, one of her paintings was chosen for the cover of the college textbook, “Gendered Lives”, by Julia T. Wood. She recently licensed one of her images to the London design house, Art on Fashion, to be recreated on fabric for a women’s designer clothing line. Lynn has supported a number of youth art programs in the Bay Area and has been an instructor at the Lilian Paley Center for the Visual Arts in Oakland, California. Lynn studied fine art at Chabot College in Hayward, California and at the University of California, Berkeley. Lynn cites Gustav Klimt and Peter Max as major influences and describes her work as representing personal experience with love, loss, and infinite joy.
