I grew up on a small farm in Massachusetts. As soon as I could hold a pencil I was consumed in drawing the animal life around me. Dogs, Cows and horses were my favorite subjects. Horses became my passion not only to paint but also to ride and compete.
I graduated from Framingham State College with Bachelors in Fine Art and a minor in Biology. Before I continued with school I spent three months at the Milwaukee County Zoo learning to draw and paint and learn about many other types of animal species. It became my desire to illustrate them and represent to the world that we need to protect them. After briefly attending the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California I returned to home and horses.
Life forced me to find other types of work while I continued pursuing my art career. I turned to illustrating Children’s Animal books. I was successful in illustrating 3 books and mastering the art of airbrush. Since that time I have rediscovered my roots and returned to the fine art painting of horses, and farm animals. I hope to bring awareness to the injustices put on the wild and the domesticated horses. Their beauty, strength, spirit and intelligence have been a cornerstone to the development of the human race. We have a responsibility to protecting them.
My work has been successfully shown in art exhibitions and is collected by prestigious clients.
