Doris Joa started painting in 2002 and what began at first as a hobby turned into one of the greatest passions in her life. In Summer 2003 she decided to become a professional artist.
Roses & Flowers, Cats, Children and Women are a constant inspiration. She doesn’t want to capture the beauty of a subject alone. She loves to portray a mood and an atmosphere and it is this that creates a narrative that allows her to speak to the viewers through her paintings.The perfect mediums for her romantic realism style are watercolour and oil.
Doris’ work has been published in a few magazines and her paintings can be found in private collections in USA, UK, Germany, Australia and Austria. She also teaches how to paint in watercolor through her DVDs / Video Online Lessons and her E-book worldwide.
