Alison Rose

Alison Rose was born in Dorset. She trained at the Dartington College of Art and qualified as a teacher at the Rolle College in Exmouth.

As a child she was enthusiastically encouraged to paint by her parents who cultivated her interest with frequent visits to the major European art galleries.

It was one major retrospective exhibition that captured her imagination most- Matisse and the dramatic qualities of his color had profound effect on her artistic career.

Alison has exhibited in numerous group exhibitions and her watercolors are collected nationwide.
