Making a living as an artist almost happened accidentally. I had been out of college for a few years and jumping from job to job unsatisfied when one night I decided to have fun and paint over an old painting I detested from school. I painted over it using spray paint and acrylic in gold and primary colors and it turned into sort of an geometric art deco inspired creation. I decided to try my luck online and listed it the next day. I now have 85 pieces listed and have made over 300 sales.

At the moment I prefer to work in mixed media with materials including magazine scraps and acrylic paint. I believe my art is unique because it’s never been done before.  Of course collage work has been practiced for decades but combining it with paint to give precise edges that create a clean silhouette is brand new. 

If my wildest artistic dream could come true I would create something that would better the world in some way like so many artists before me have done. I’m very new to the art world, as I only officially started selling work in November of 2013 so I’m excited to discover how my work will evolve in the future. I’ve always had an insatiable need to create unique things whether that be in the crafting arena or the art world and am so excited to see what the future has in store for my work! I feel that if my work makes just one person smile, I have been successful!
