Annette is a self taught Artist creating since 2001, with a short break from 2017 -2021 for a new start at life with her children. Back into painting and furthering her Art.
Living in North Country New York, next to the Adirondacks. She has Lived in Georgia where she got a very strong influence of the flow and creativity of Southern Folk Art, which has had a large influence on her painting.Reusing and recycling and making into art that brings smiles to everyday life, is her goal. With many characters having inspiration from everyday people and animal expressions. Growth and experimenting with every new piece keeps her paintings original and one of a kind. With use of different color combinations and patterns, many come from walks in nature, and everyday life.
Her children and grandchildren have a great influence on her works, and her love of nature and animals through expressions in her paintings. Her main medium is acrylic paint. Though using brushes she also uses her fingers and found objects to paint with. She has been published, and her collectors are throughout the world. Her years of Primitive, folk art and impressionism are her main influences, now growing and combining these works for her own unique style. If you take anything from Annette’s creations she would hope they always bring a happy moment into your day. Life is short. Our eyes should always find a smile.
