Marcello Corti is an italian artist, was born in the beautiful medieval town of Bergamo in 1961. Marcello Corti himself comes from a family of artists, painters, sculptors and poets, most notably Romualdo, Stefano and Raffaello Locatelli, and poet Giuliano Donati Petteni. Marcello’s eclectic talent finds its best expression in portraits, through his special way of capturing on canvas the very soul of his subjects with swift and skilful paint strokes. In 1986, his long standing passion for advertising and graphic design become part of his professional portfolio through contracts with major Italian companies. In 2006, he decided to return to his original passion for painting by combining it with his technology know-how, using Photoshop and his Mac with pen tablet to create illustrations for paper stationery, picture books, gifts, household items. His international client base are very appreciative of his original artistic style and his ability to use technology to develop unique artistic solutions. Marcello’s distinctive feature lies in his great knowledge and experience in printing, which allows him to provide his customers with the most suitable solutions both from an artistic and a technical point of view. Always at the forefront of technology, Marcello is currently able to professionally manage the most recent developments in lenticular printing. His technology-based skills give him a broader range of tools to express his creativity, whilst still retaining and building on his roots as a painter as well as his deep perception of colour, form and beauty.
