Brian has been drawing for as long as he can remember. He took art classes in jr. high and high school and eventually completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Brigham Young University – Hawaii Campus. He taught art in public and private schools for 30 years, while continuing to develop his vision and skills as a professional artist. Over the years, he has experimented with different art mediums, styles, and subjects but has always come back to the subjects that make him smile…memories from his childhood.
Brian’s childhood was filled with trips to his grandparent’s farm, the mountain west’s distinct seasons, holidays, camping trips, gardens, harvests, and the traditions of his pioneer heritage. He strives to share the essence of these memories, through his art, as a way to lift hearts, lighten life’s challenges, and celebrate the things that so often give us something to look forward to.
