John Roy
Inspired by his lifetime dedication to Blues music and vintage cars, John began taking photographs in search of abandoned America. He spent seven years taking thousands of photographs of farm houses, motels, gas stations, salvage yards, amazing Americana scenery and all manner of vehicles.
Printing these photographs, he meticulously crops out each element, shape, icon and mounts them on foam core. He then assembles these 3 dimensional shots into a well arranged work of art and photographs the entire montage a second time. The result is the creation of a roadside masterpiece, depicting a world of decades past.
