NeHonaker Art
Nancy Honaker is an accomplished artist whose lifelong passion for music and art has shaped a dynamic creative journey. After earning a Fine Art degree from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, she pursued a career in Hollywood’s film industry, immersing herself in its creative energy for nearly three decades. A return to Ohio, prompted by pivotal life changes, reignited her artistic roots. Alongside her sister, Nancy launched a mixed media business, showcasing their work at art shows and craft fairs. Yet, it was her rediscovery of fine art—sparked by an Honorable Mention in an online colored pencil contest—that set her on a path to mastery.
Specializing in colored pencil, Nancy’s work is defined by her pursuit of realism, capturing fleeting moments with meticulous detail. From everyday subjects to cherished pet portraits, her art brings life and vibrancy to the page. Her work has been celebrated in prestigious publications, including Artists Network’s The Best of Drawing: Strokes of Genius, and featured in juried gallery exhibitions nationwide. Nancy is a proud member of the International Guild of Realism (IGOR), and Allied Artists of America, and also holds signature status with and the United Kingdom Coloured Pencil Society (UKCPS) and the Colored Pencil Society of America (CPSA), a testament to her skill and dedication.
