Rachel Watson Pattern

Rachel Watson creates surface patterns and illustrations for all manner of contexts in her home studio in Derby in the UK. She takes inspiration from mid-century textiles, the creatures and landscapes of the Isle of Anglesey where she grew up, and the charm of the everyday things we often miss. Rachel is passionate about creating designs that you can use to make your world a little bit brighter. 
To this end, she loves to create patterns that can be used in affordable, accessible contexts like stationery, giftware and home textiles – where people can regularly switch things up to reflect their personalities. 
Rachel loves to explore colour (frequently getting lost on Instagram putting palettes together), the endless inspiration of words (a good pun is always welcome), and making sure there’s a good slug of humour and quirkiness in her designs.
