Krista Weltner

Krista Weltner is an author, illustrator, and surface designer whose work blends playful storytelling with bright, whimsical design. She is the author and illustrator of Everyday Adventures with Molly and DysLEXIa (Free Spirit Publishing). In addition to her illustration work, Krista works in the stop-motion animation industry, contributing to films such as Netflix Animation’s Wendell & Wild and LAIKA Studios’ upcoming film Wildwood. She holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Connecticut.

Drawing inspiration from childhood imagination, animals, nature, and everyday humor, Krista creates artwork filled with expressive characters, cheerful patterns, and uplifting themes. Her work is well-suited for children’s products, stationery, gifts, and home décor.

She moves around a lot! But she is currently living in Pennsylvania with her husband and two sweet dogs that she adores.
