
Vessela G.
Vessela Kolibarova was born in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Her artistic career started in painted animation working with the top Bulgarian directors of the 1980’s. After attending the studio’s of renowned Bulgarian painters learning drawing, composition and different painting techniques fine art became her destiny. Throughout the years Vessela became proficient in numerous mediums and developed a style that could be defined as romantic realism.
In the years spent in South America – she worked as a freelance illustrator for the prestigious Colombian newspaper “El Tiempo”, illustrated several children’s books and also published a line of greeting cards.
After coming to the United States in 1994 Vessela began working with “American Royal Arts” – a top animation and fine art dealer in the country as an artist/restorer of vintage hand painted animation cells. During the past 10 years she was a resident artist with “Marlin Art Inc.” – a major fine art auctioneer and creative events company.
Her art is currently featured in various galleries in the US, Europe and South America.
